The Wisconsin Broadband Workforce Coalition brings employers, training providers and job seekers together to support the workforce needed to expand broadband access.

Coalition activities include
Educating policy makers on the need for our coalition to manage policy and funding for the State of Wisconsin’s workforce development efforts around broadband expansion
Connecting employers with training providers necessary to recruit and secure trained talent
Helping employers identify candidates and recruit from local and regional training providers
Connecting employers and post-secondary institutions to career and technical education programs and funding provided in adult basic education programs that provide opportunities for adults who wish to re-skill
Working with broadband carriers to identify funding for programs to upskill and train experienced workers by providing certifications on new technologies necessary to continue their careers
Connecting the pipeline of talent (potential workers) to employers looking to hire
Working with training providers and employers to recognize and establish national standards for a minimum level of competency for the fiber optic industry
Supporting efforts to connect networks of diverse and disadvantaged communities with members seeking career opportunities
Supporting efforts to ensure vendors and contractors are licensed, insured, and registered to work in Wisconsin
Delivering a report on the interoperability of Wisconsin’s workforce and the Wisconsin broadband workforce ecosystem
